Cybersecurity Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our IT security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for protecting the organization’s networks, systems, applications, and data from cyber threats and security vulnerabilities.

The candidate will monitor security events, investigate incidents, identify vulnerabilities, implement security controls, and support security improvements across the organization. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents.

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security, SOC, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of networking, operating systems, and cybersecurity concepts.
• Hands-on experience with SIEM tools, security monitoring, and log analysis.
• Experience investigating security alerts and responding to security incidents.
• Knowledge of vulnerability scanning, assessment, and remediation.
• Good understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, EDR, and access controls.
• Knowledge of common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and unauthorized access.
• Familiarity with cloud security concepts is preferred.
• Knowledge of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls is an advantage.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, or CISSP are preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with IT, Network, Cloud, and DevOps teams.
• Willingness to stay updated with emerging cybersecurity threats and technologies.
