Job Description
Microsoft’s Global Demand Center (GDC) team within the Cloud Marketing Group is leading the marketing transformation of Microsoft’s largest and fastest growing commercial businesses. Our always-on acquisition and nurture Global Engagement Programs (GEPs) are cross-segment targeting business and technical audiences across commercial businesses, including Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Project, Visio, Teams, Surface, Digital Transformation, AI, security, commercial industries, and education, with programs available in 42 markets and 30 languages. The GDC acquires millions of new contacts annually which can be nurtured into leads and sales recommendations. In addition to driving new demand, the GDC also accelerates usage and consumption through post-purchase Relationship Marketing (RM) that includes both nurture email and in-product reach for Microsoft 365, Azure, and Power Platform. Before interacting with traditional sales channels, Microsoft’s customers learn about products and services by engaging with our brand and products through digital and in-person experiences including advertising, web, social, events, product trials, sales, and partners. Through modern, digital marketing, the GDC team is optimizing and integrating these channels through advanced analytics and marketing automation. The GDC team is driving measurable business impact through globally scaled programs that are engineered and instrumented to create highly personalized and relevant experiences and content across the customer’s buying journey for our IT, developer, and line of business leader audiences.
We are searching for a talented senior marketing leader for Microsoft 365 (M365) Web Direct with demonstrated success leading marketing organizations through transformation to achieve operational. Are you someone who thrives leading change and has the communication and executive presence to influence and inspire stakeholders at all levels in an organization? Do you have a passion for Direct business management and the opportunity to lead modern, digital marketing to drive customer experiences that drive demand and loyalty?
You will lead a talented marketing team to define business strategy and lead the business performance across all aspects of M365 direct business. You will own the end to end management of all aspects of the customer journey and be accountable for revenue and customer adds.

To be effective in this role you will need to the ability to partner and influence stakeholders from engineering, product and integrated marketing teams to shape and measure the impact of the entire funnel associated with M365.
To be successful in this role, you must have strong skills in written and oral communications, a can-do attitude and the willingness to tackle hard problems in innovative ways.Responsibilities
  • Create depth finance engagement & Lifetime Value (LTV) Modeling capability. Build LTV models & finance backed targets for key engines & investments. Drive weekly finance performance & strategy planning discussions
  • Develop connected Execution ROB Across all engines and motions for M365. Align plans across Paid Media, Web, Product/Sign-up, Global Engagement Program (GEP), Relationship Marketing (RM), Digital Sales, etc.
  • Ensure engineering alignment & coordinated Experimentation across the product experience. This includes aligned semester planning process with resources allocated to more rapid experiments. The experiments align to top priorities with unintended downstream consequences tracked
  • Build digital sales strategy & execution alignment in partnership with the Demand Response leader and Digital Sales leaders. Joint strategy, planning, & performance targets and investments.
  • Build End-to-end funnel performance Dashboards & Monitoring capability. Ensure there is access to Data: Finance, Engineering, Commence/Fraud, Web, Media, Digital Sales, etc.
  • Attract, retain and grow top marketing talent
Qualifications
  • Experience leading business and marketing teams of 10+ people.
  • Minimum 10+ years professional experience (such as sales or marketing)
  • Experience managing growth and performance of direct/ecommerce business channels, digital and lifecycle marketing programs
  • Exceptional problem solving across a variety of business challenges both marketing, operations and technical arenas.
  • Exceptional people manager with ability to recruit and retain top talent including developing other people managers to be effective leaders.
  • Great EQ and communication skills across diverse audiences, ability to influence and drive change through others including senior executives.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, matrix environment, deal with ambiguity, and create clarity for people and teams.
  • Ability to communicate complex business issues in a straightforward and precise way, cutting through extraneous details to highlight the real root cause of business issues and identify potential solutions.
  • High attention to detail, action oriented, focus on accuracy.
  • Strong strategic thinking complemented with a bias for action and execution/operational excellence.
