Software Engineer

Cognitech is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications. The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, knowledge of software architecture, experience with application development, and an understanding of modern software engineering practices.

The candidate will collaborate with product managers, software architects, designers, QA engineers, and other developers to analyze requirements and implement reliable software solutions. Responsibilities include developing new application features, maintaining existing systems, writing reusable code, integrating APIs, resolving technical issues, and improving application performance.

The role may involve frontend development, backend development, full-stack engineering, cloud-based applications, or distributed systems, depending on project requirements. The candidate should follow coding standards, participate in code reviews, write automated tests, and contribute to continuous integration and deployment processes.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–5+ years of experience in software engineering or application development.

• Strong knowledge of at least one programming language, such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or TypeScript.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.

• Experience developing applications, REST APIs, or backend services.

• Knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with Git, automated testing, debugging, and code reviews.

• Understanding of software architecture, application security, and performance optimization.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
