Software Developer

Cognitech is seeking a Software Developer to build, customize, test, and maintain software applications based on business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate should have practical programming skills, experience with application development frameworks, and the ability to convert requirements into functional software solutions.

The candidate will work with development teams and stakeholders to understand application needs, develop new features, maintain existing code, troubleshoot errors, and improve software usability and reliability. Responsibilities include writing and testing code, integrating databases and APIs, documenting technical changes, fixing bugs, and supporting application releases.

Depending on project needs, the role may include web development, backend development, full-stack development, database programming, and integration with third-party services. The candidate should be comfortable learning new technologies and following established development standards.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–5+ years of experience in software development or a related role.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.

• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and common software development concepts.

• Experience with application frameworks and API integration.

• Familiarity with SQL databases and basic database design.

• Experience with debugging, unit testing, and software maintenance.

• Knowledge of Git and version control.

• Understanding of SDLC, Agile development, and technical documentation.

• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
