Responsible for providing installation, maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware. Assesses user needs and is able to solve a range of problems. Provides installation of new equipment and performs equipment modifications or enhancements. Prepares and maintains documentation for processes for policies and procedures related to computer systems and operations.
Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to Network Enterprise Center (NEC) personnel to enable their becoming self-sufficient in maintaining and operating a Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) system and associated ancillary systems.
Responsibilities:
Survey, analyze, evaluate, and provide technical advice/trouble resolution pertaining to the performance and functionality of the VoIP system.
Assist with the system administration and maintenance of the VoIP system. Maintain contracted levels of system availability and performance, utilizing the Maintenance and Administrative Positions (MAAPs) trouble resolution tools and GFE.
Assist system administrator in the performance of the following functions:
Detection and resolution of system failures/component failures/errors.
Routine system hardware/software installation, upgrading, updating, and replacement per the contract.
Modification of fiber patch panels to support system requirements and maintain system performance objectives.
Component and system failures.
Maintain configuration management
Assist and advise local site personnel in all warranty related actions
Prepare and submit a Monthly Status Report (MSR)
Skills:
Good interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative work environment
Ability to communicate complex technical information to site personnel to reinforce skills taugh during formal training
Good written communication skills to complete required reports, trouble tickets and other deliverables
Requirements:
OEM certified on the Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) (i.e. CCNA Collaboration)
Must have and maintain at least one of the certifications associated with DoD Approved 8570 Baseline Certifications for IAT Level II:
CCNA Security
CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+ **) (formerly CSA+)
GIAC Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional (GICSP)
GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC)
Security+ CE
Certified Network Defender (CND)
System Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP)
Preferred candidate will also have experience (and ability to obtain certification) in NetPlus TMS, T-Metrics ACD and Forum Conferencing systems.
Possess a working knowledge of and experience installing, managing, maintaining, and trouble-shooting all components of the VoIP system
Understand and be able to assist site personnel with Cyber Security requirements
Have a SECRET (or higher) clearance
