Quality Assurance Engineer

About the Role

goTenna is looking to hire a quality assurance engineer to perform manual tests on our innovative Software and Hardware products. In this role you will have an opportunity to optimize testing processes, support product improvements based on customer feedback, and grow with a high-performing team. This is a cross functional position partnering with Software, Firmware, Hardware, Customer Experience, and Product teams.

Key Activities

• Design, develop, execute, and maintain test scripts
• Participate in UAT, Performance Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, and AB Testing
• Communicate and collaborate with software developers to resolve defects
• Identify opportunities for improvement within existing test environment
• Record, document, and track defects, and changes in Pivotal Tracker
• Operate in an Agile test environment and perform product field testing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering or relevant work experience
• Manual Testing experience in Android, iOS, and web based applications
• Experience with Hardware and Mobile Device Testing
• Familiarity with debug tools
• Experience with software development in Java or Python

It would be awesome if you had:

• Familiarity with mobile application development (Swift, Kotlin, Java)
• Experience with virtualization and emulation with mobile devices
• RF or Telecommunications experience
• Ham Radio Technician Certification
• Experience working in a technology startup environment
