Prin Product Engr

Provides product characterizations and analysis expertise to support Product, Test, and providing central engineering support from design through all phases of manufacturing
KEY FUNCTIONS:
1. Oversees or directly interfaces with Product , Fab Process, Test Engineering, Operation through all device cycles
2. As required, characterizes product/process. Ensures products meet data sheet specifications and recommends product enhancements. Initiates recharacterization or process modification as required
3. Ensures production has and follows production documentation
4. Performs necessary sustaining activities. Monitors yields and provides feedback to related engineering areas and recommends cost reduction
5. Performs failure analysis on customer returns. Determines cause of failure and resolves the problem with the customer.
6. Provides technical guidance, direction and training for more junior technical employees
7. Participates in product meetings. Identifies and recommends needs for future resources
8. Directs and administers new Fabrication process / package requirements and quality improvement programs
9. Maintains production test programs as required for flow changes, test time reduction, upgraded performance of product
10. Works on related projects and/or assignments as needed

PROBLEM SOLVING:
1. Reduces and minimizes technical difficulties as product moves through the factory to customer
2. Solves product/test engineering problems that affect product performance.
3. Prioritizes and manages large numbers of concurrent activities
4. Determines overall product strategy for introduction and cost reduction, including specific improvements for process, design, or test approach.
5. Reduces and minimizes technical difficulties as product moves through the factory to the customer
Coding skills in languages such as, Oracle, MySQL, Awk and Perl Scripting, Python, C++
Experience with statistical software such as Spotfire, JMP Scripting
Experience with Production Tester such as Verigy V5400/V3308 , Aehr Fox-1, Advantest T58xx
DECISION MAKING:
1. Resolves all technical matters for products.
2. Recommends process flow, design rules, device characterization.
3. Analytical and problem-solving skills
QUALIFICATIONS:
A technology related bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience plus 10 years of related experience. Requires experience and demonstrated expertise in all phases of product and test engineering with positive human relations, administrative, and organizational
