Job Description
Raytheon Intelligence and Space (RI&S) is seeking a Procurement Manager I in support of the LSC Spares program within the Cybersecurity, Training and Services (CTS). The position will directly develop a team of procurement professionals responsible for the pricing and procurement of high volume / high mix material in support of the LSC Spares program. Management tasks include, but not limited to: managing workload assignments to ensure efficient performance, developing, training, and performance management of the team, interfacing between the program team and the supply base to ensure requirements are implemented, and creating an excellent operating cadence to support mission area needs. The effective candidate must be able to operate in an agile / dynamic environment, give direction, and translate program needs to the procurement team. Additionally, the team member must understand compliance requirements, review, and approve purchase orders and proposal packages. This person will also support high dollar proposal activities, manage completion of redetermination efforts associated with program needs, participate in monthly PMR’s and program specific audits. This person will also work extensively with Program Management to ensure the team is operating in a way that supports established goals for bookings, sales, and overall performance. This position requires extensive interaction with cross-functional stakeholders including, but not limited to, Material Program Managers, Quality, Engineering, and Finance. The preferred work location is Louisville, KY.

Required Skills:
  • 6+ year’s relevant experience in procurement / purchasing role(s)
  • Ability to multi-task and perform in a dynamic, exciting, high volume, rapidly changing environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with internal customers, suppliers, and key team members
  • Must be able to assign requirements to a team based on workload and program priority
  • Ability to train, motivate, and drive team to implement
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically
  • Able to perform and comprehend price analysis and source selection/justification
  • Ability to effectively develop job responsibilities with minimal supervision
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new information, processes, and resources
  • Experience w/ DOD procurements, thorough knowledge and experience with Government regulations and public law, and a deep compliance posture
  • Proven ability to collaborate across an organization and operate effectively within a matrix environment by resolving conflict and influencing others
  • A thorough sense of team
Desired Skills:
  • Experience using standard computer systems focused on supplier management process (SAP / Maximo)
  • Ability to filter information from multiple sources to encourage creative solutions
  • Experience working with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools as well as knowledge of supply chain processes
Required Education (including Major):
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Contract Administration, or similar discipline.
