What You Will Be A Part Of:
The Analytical Instruments Group (AIG) Business Intelligence (BI) Delivery Manager is responsible for leading the delivery and operations of AIG BI Projects in Thermo Fisher. The AIG BI Delivery Manager will work with business analysts, operations engineers, BI developers, vendor consulting resources and the extended BI team to define operational goals, provide support for various BI applications including Power BI, Domo and Business Object, measure progress of operational metrics and leverage automation and machine learning to implement operational improvements. Additionally, the AIG BI Delivery Manager will hire, mentor and train employees of the AIG BI team as we expand our team and portfolio.
What You Will Do:
- Action Oriented: Have a sense of urgency, and enthusiasm in managing BI Operations. Ensure effective implementation of all AIG IT BI projects, enhancements and MOB to achieve all client objectives.
- Collaborates: Build partnerships and work collaboratively with other members of IT teams to meet shared objectives.
- Communicates Effectively: Provide timely and consistent updates and recommendations on BI Operational issues and improvements to stakeholders.
- Partners with the Business: Act as divisional Liaison for all CMD Business Stakeholders and manage funnel for CMD projects, enhancements and MOB
- Cultivates Innovation: Leverage Automation, Machine Learning and process improvement methodologies to drive innovation and growth mind-set.
- Document and publish BI Operations KPI metrics, weekly status updates and issue resolution details. Adhere to SLAs and report on performance KPIs of BI team performance, tool availability to monitor the platform efficiently
- Manage /supervise BI delivery team members, including assisting in the development, training and assignment of work/projects to other team members.
- Drive continuous learning to encourage and promote improvement in Operations productivity through innovation, cross-training and collaboration.
- Maintain and transform AIG IT BI strategies in operational plans according to business priorities and within budget.
- Responsible for timely delivery of all Business Intelligence operation tasks example: Incidents, enhancements tickets and projects.
- Perform assessment on all reporting requirements and develop long term strategy for various reporting solutions.
Tool & Technology Skills
- Proficient in IT operations procedures and support processes.
- Experience working with SQL and familiarity/experience with AWS, cloud technologies, DevOps, Continuous Integration and automation methodologies.
- Proficient in at least one of the following reporting tools and technologies: Power BI, SAP Business Objects, Domo, Tableau
- Knowledge of enterprise level applications and technologies: SAP, Salesforce
- Proficient in release management, change management, problem management and other IT operational methodologies.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent field with at least 8-years of experience in IT
- Recent 2-3 years managing a team with direct responsibility of an IT project delivery or IT operations functionality.
How You Will Get Here:
- At least 8-years of experience in IT project delivery or operations or management.
- 2-3 years of prior paid professional experience managing a team in an IT project delivery or operations functionality.
- 2-3 years of prior paid professional experience in IT operations, support, administration, release management and related activities.
- Background and experience managing teams to perform against a pre-set Service Level Agreement (SLA) standard using a service management tool such as Service Now, Jira.
- Background and experience working in an enterprise environment with mature incident management, change management and problem management processes.
- Creating actionable dashboards, logging, alerting, and responses to ensure that operational issues are captured and addressed proactively.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with a proven ability to logically work through a problem to its successful resolution.
- Ability to work calmly through high-pressure situations.
