Jr Data Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Data Engineer to assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and data processing solutions. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of Python, SQL, databases, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts. The candidate will work with senior data engineers, data analysts, and data scientists to collect, transform, validate, and manage data from multiple sources to support business reporting and analytics.

• Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.

• 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, database development, or a related role; academic projects and internships are acceptable.

• Basic to intermediate programming skills in Python and SQL.

• Understanding of relational databases, database design, joins, and query optimization fundamentals.

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts.

• Knowledge of data cleaning, data transformation, validation, and quality checks.

• Understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, and structured data formats.

• Familiarity with tools such as Apache Spark, Databricks, or Apache Airflow is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and version control practices.

• Ability to troubleshoot data issues and document technical processes.

• Strong analytical, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
