Jr Cybersecurity Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to support the protection of IT systems, networks, applications, and sensitive data. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of network security, security monitoring, vulnerability assessment, and incident response. The candidate will work with experienced security professionals to identify potential threats, monitor security alerts, investigate vulnerabilities, and help maintain a secure IT environment.

• Master’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 0–2 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, or a related technical role. Academic projects and internships are welcome.

• Basic understanding of network security, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and VPNs.

• Knowledge of security principles, threat detection, and vulnerability management.

• Familiarity with security monitoring tools and SIEM platforms such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.

• Basic understanding of incident response and security event analysis.

• Knowledge of operating systems such as Linux and Windows.

• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus or OpenVAS.

• Basic knowledge of endpoint security, antivirus, and access management.

• Understanding of encryption, authentication, and authorization concepts.

• Knowledge of scripting using Python, Bash, or PowerShell is a plus.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
