Jr Cybersecurity Engineer

We are seeking a motivated Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our cybersecurity team and support the protection of enterprise systems, networks, applications, and data. The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts and a willingness to learn security monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.

This position is well suited for entry-level cybersecurity professionals who have academic knowledge, hands-on lab experience, internships, or cybersecurity projects.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of cybersecurity experience, including internships, academic projects, or hands-on lab experience.
• Strong understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, firewalls, and network security.
• Basic experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel, or QRadar.
• Understanding of SOC operations, security monitoring, and incident response.
• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools such as Nessus, Qualys, or Rapid7.
• Basic knowledge of IAM, Active Directory, MFA, and access controls.
• Understanding of common cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and credential attacks.
• Basic scripting knowledge in Python, PowerShell, or Bash is preferred.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with senior security engineers and IT teams.
