We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Engineer to join our Managed Security Services (MSS) team. This role is ideal for candidates with 0–4 years of experience who are passionate about building scalable data pipelines, transforming data, and working with modern cloud-based data platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain data solutions using Databricks, dbt, Python, PySpark, SQL, and Apache Airflow.
Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Python.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and integration.
- Develop and maintain dbt models, tests, macros, and documentation.
- Work with Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Databricks Workflows to build reliable data solutions.
- Monitor and improve data quality, performance, and reliability.
- Support data migration and modernization initiatives from legacy platforms to Databricks Lakehouse.
- Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues while ensuring data integrity.
- Follow best practices for version control, documentation, testing, and CI/CD.
- 0–4 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Databricks.
- Experience with dbt (Data Build Tool).
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Experience with PySpark and Spark SQL.
- Strong SQL skills for querying and data transformation.
- Experience with Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
- Basic understanding of Delta Lake and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT methodologies.
- Knowledge of Git and CI/CD practices is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Exposure to data platform migration or modernization projects.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- Knowledge of data quality frameworks and monitoring tools.
- Asset Management domain experience is a plus.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
