Cybersecurity Engineer

Cybersecurity Engineer to help design, implement, monitor, and maintain security solutions that protect enterprise systems, applications, networks, and data. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of security operations, vulnerability management, threat detection, identity and access management, and security incident response.

The candidate will work with IT infrastructure, application development, cloud, and security operations teams to identify vulnerabilities, strengthen security controls, investigate suspicious activity, and reduce cybersecurity risks. Responsibilities include monitoring security alerts, analyzing logs, supporting incident investigations, performing vulnerability assessments, reviewing access permissions, and implementing remediation measures.

The role may involve SIEM platforms, endpoint security tools, cloud security services, network defense, and compliance initiatives. The candidate should follow security best practices, maintain accurate documentation, support audits, and contribute to continuous improvement of the organization’s security posture.

• Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, security operations, or a related role.

• Knowledge of network security, operating systems, access controls, and security principles.

• Experience with SIEM tools such as Splunk or Microsoft Sentinel.

• Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, threat detection, and incident response.

• Knowledge of firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and identity and access management.

• Understanding of security frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Controls, or ISO 27001.

• Familiarity with cloud security across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of security logs, risk assessment, and vulnerability remediation.

• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
