We have an exciting opportunity for a Cash Application Accounting Clerk within our Abbott Rapid Diagnostics business located at Orlando, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising the accounts receivable operations including but
not limited to applying customer payments, completing the monthly closing process, researching customer deductions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide daily cash application process – checks, wires, credit cards, etc.
- Maintain customer accounts – ensure all payments, debt and credit memos and other open transactions are correctly identified on the customer’s account
- Research, verify and resolve all customer deductions in a timely matter
- Complete the month-end closing process for the Credit/Collection and Accounts Receivable Departments
- Assist in the Financial and SOX audits
- Communicate any customer payment problems with the Collections Clerk
- Develop methods and procedures to increase efficiency
- Establish and communicate goals on an individual and team basis to achieve cash flow, DSO and aging objectives
- Cover work of other team members during absence and participate in special projects and related assignments as needed
- Execute applicable Quality System processes
- Other duties as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in cash application or an equivalent combination of experience preferred
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Good keyboarding and typing skills; proficient at 10-key calculator by touch required
- Detailed oriented, accurate and dependable
- Good verbal and written communication skills
