Salesforce is looking for a Senior Product Analyst to join the Business Technology Team to work as a Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA), collaborating with geographically dispersed scrum teams and business partners on critical internal initiatives for a multi-billion dollar business. These activities will support and span Revenue processes (Quote to Cash), applications. This role requires someone who is knowledgeable, confident, and enthusiastic about perpetually learning as well as excited about sharing their knowledge with their teams and partners.

The Senior Product Analyst will provide guidance throughout the life of a project, from the initial phases of helping identify business requirements to developing and executing strategies to completing flawless execution to production. This person will translate the business needs into actionable requirements by gathering enough information to make a solution possible, as well as helping drive clarity to make rational decisions.

The role requires working across the timezones in which salesforce Information technology has development hubs. (AMER West and East coast, EMEA and India)

Responsibilities:

You will collaborate with a cross functional group of Product Owners, Project Managers, BSAs and business stakeholders on requirements, business value scoring and success metrics. You will drive the requirements gathering process such that the end product accurately reflects business needs which includes: risk/impact analysis, “as is” and “to be” process documentation, success metric identification, functional requirements (including acceptance criteria), all agnostic of a specific technical solution. You will be responsible for reviewing technical solutions for compliance to business process and objectives as well as coordinating the end to end UAT cycle. Depending on the project, you may also participate in the development of an organizational change management framework.

In this role, you perform your core duties and take on a larger role within the Product Management Community. You serve on internal teams or committees helping improve processes or create new ones. You may serve as a leader and mentor to other Product Managers, using tools like Chatter to answer questions and share your knowledge with the larger team. You will work on large-scale projects, whose implementations, issues, requests or projects have greater scope, complexity and require change management. You operate more proactively as opposed to reactively, anticipating issues and averting them before they occur. You work closely with Product Owners and Project Managers as well as Architects and Lead Members of Technical Staff. You feel comfortable with prioritizing and managing multiple projects at a time and working with varying business and IT groups on cross-functional collaboration.

Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience, and 2-4 years of relevant experience at Salesforce or five years of relevant experience elsewhere.

  • 2+ years in the following roles: technical support, account management, project management and consulting.

  • Experience with lead to cash processes and Salesforce is a plus.

Able to:

  • Guide internal customers throughout all aspects of the software development life cycle, including agile practices, from writing user stories and acceptance criteria to coordinating end to end and user acceptance testing.

  • Develop quality deliverables such as as-is and to-be process flows, requirement documentation, user stories and acceptance criteria.

  • Work closely with developers in scrum teams to act as a point of contact for requirements clarifications .

  • Work proactively to predict and minimize potential issues before they arise, and resolve those that do in a timely manner.

  • Interact with large data sets to extract insights, validate decisions, and influence change.

  • Determine best methods and procedures on new assignments.

  • Quickly become a subject matter expert in business and system processes within scope of project(s).

  • Negotiate detailed requirement and solution design trade-offs.

  • Perform some Product Owner responsibilities: adjust product roadmaps, groom backlogs, facilitate with senior leadership.

  • Assist with interviews and mentor new team members.
