Position: Senior Java Developer

Location: New York

Duration: Full Time

The industry leading application uses MQ messages and workflow technology to extract a wide variety of data types including trades, positions, cash, prices, fx rates and investor level info, all from their underlying sources in an STP basis as and when each component is ready, and aggregates the data in a data-warehouse. Using an IBM Cognos reporting engine the application generates a series of complex reports and makes available to the clients via a portal application which provides clients with transparency into the process, the reports as well as analysis and insight. The Role is to develop and support the solution and architect future developments for the project assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• Should own assigned projects and work independently with minimum supervision
• Juggling skills to concentrate on multiple issues with focus to resolve it without escalation
• Provide technical solution to the problem with a proven technical expertise
• Create technical and test-case documents
• Minimize code defects
• Ability to complete project in given timeframe
• Willing to learn & adapt new technologies

Position Requirements:

• 5-10 years’ experience in Application development
• At least 3 years of financial industry experiences
• Java Development and Performance Tuning
• Java Multithreading
• Spring frameworks
• Fair knowledge of front end technologies i.e Bootstrap, Angular JS
• Knowledge of UNIX operating system
• Unix Shell Scripting
• IBM MQ, Kafka
• Familiarity with a ticket tracking tools a plus
• Familiar with Software domain with excellent analytical, logical and research

skills

• Good communication and professional interpersonal skills required

Education:

• 4 years Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
