Job Description Summary: PayPal is looking for a team player to join our growing Vulnerability Operations team. The Vulnerability Operations Engineer will serve as a technical expert and will work closely with partners in PayPal to enhance the vulnerability remediations across the entire PayPal environment. The Engineer will be responsible for analyzing, prioritizing and driving vulnerability remediations . Successful candidates will possess a blend of general business, technology and security competencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and drive vulnerabilities remediation across diverse environments, including Cloud Computing and containers Create automated processes and workflows to reduce the improve detection and mitigation SLAs
  • Perform end-to-end vulnerability remediation cycle, including main partners engagements
  • Understand, review and interpret vulnerability scan and assessment results
  • Advise prioritization of patch deployment and provide guidance on vulnerability prioritization in accordance with SLAs
  • Collaborate with disparate teams to create both tactical and strategic plans for improvements in patch cycle times and risk posture
  • Responsibility on main Data Sources and vulnerability scanners configurations

Requirements:

  • Strong technical experience and familiarity with various vulnerabilities existing in the wild
  • Strong foundational understanding of Cloud/Virtualized environments, including containers
  • Core understanding of Citrix, Windows, Linux environments
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, diverse, sometimes vague environments and able to handle multiple simultaneous projects and tasks while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive quality outcomes
  • Deep understanding of scanners, tools and processes used to detect new vulnerabilities
  • Attention to details, excellent analytical thinking, and time management skills
  • Proficient with vulnerability scanning tools such as Qualys, Nessus, Twistlock, as well as SIEM (Splunk) and SQL queries
  • 5+ years overall Infrastructure Security experience
  • 3+ years of vulnerability management experience
