Job Description

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborates with local operations team in business units to formulate, refine, and operationalize initiative and tactics to ensure operational and financial success
  • Leads the capital planning process to develop proformas and business plans around potential new growth opportunities
  • Owns the relationships with Corporate and outside groups related to the Medicare Cost Report and taxation
  • Works to develop efficiencies through the use of data, including automation of reports, creation of both financial and operational dashboards, etc.
  • Work in Tandem with the Finance team to assist with month-end accounting duties and other projects as needed
  • Assists with the development of hospital budgets
  • Coaches front line business unit managers on operational finance principles
  • Collaborates with business unit operational leaders to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and develop action plans for meeting targets
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Key Skills

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting,
  • 7 plus years of healthcare finance experience.

  • Strong leader.
  • Ability to work across diverse areas.
  • Good communicator (oral and written), relationship builder, problem solver and collaborative integrator.
  • Strong financial knowledge in accounting with an understanding of operations and major business drivers of financial performance.
