The Analytics Service team – part of ITO Platform Services - provides system planning, engineering and operations support for enterprise analytics products and Big Data solutions. These tools are used by Ford teams globally, including IT service delivery partners, the Global Data Insights and Analytics (GDIA) team, and other areas, to build line-of-business applications which are directly accessed by the end user community. Products and platforms include QlikView, QlikSense, Tableau, ArcGIS, Alteryx, Informatica, Anaconda, WebFOCUS, Business Objects, and more - all of which are critical to Ford's rapidly evolving needs in the area of Analytics.

This position is a part of the Descriptive Analytics team. It is an Engineering and Operations role as the Engineering subject matter expert in tools such as QlikView server and Business Objects server in Ford’s enterprise data centers.

Responsibilities
  • Engineering responsibility for the QlikView and Business Objects analytics platforms – evaluate and engineer highly available, secure environments, monitor performance, develop user/group and content security processes, and troubleshoot server and desktop product issues
  • Work with other team members to gather requirements and provide customer-focused, engineered solutions
  • Develop new tools and processes to ensure effective implementation and use of the technologies
  • Document day-to-day processes, installation and desk procedures (Run Books, Operational Manuals, Knowledgebase, etc.)
  • Provide L2/L3 infrastructure support to users and other Operations teams for issue resolution, and follow ITL processes for request, incident, change, event and problem management
  • Work with vendors to resolve escalated issues

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2 + years of Business Objects and QlikView Server administrative, engineering, or operations experience
  • 6 +years of experience with Windows Server platforms
  • 5 + years System Administrator experience managing large multi-tenant environments

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to coordinate/facilitate issue resolution with product vendors and other Ford teams
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic Understanding of Product Life Cycle (release cadences, service packs, etc.)
  • Understanding of database connectivity for technologies like Hadoop, Teradata, SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, etc.
  • Understanding of Ford concepts such as ICR/GRC, EAA, RTP/HIR, and DCS/CSP
  • Basic understanding of various service offerings, such as Database, Containers, Storage, and Network
  • Basic understanding of Agile development concepts
