WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a creative data visualization specialist with a passion for translating information into product innovation opportunities to join our NXT Digital Innovation Insights Engine team. The Visual Data/Insights Innovator role will enable us to leap from raw research collection to compelling athlete and product performance insights. The role is a specialist in the information design field, with experience using 3D visual analytics and simulation tools to create insightful visualizations that empower better, faster product decisions. The candidate needs to possess a strong graphic design and data analysis acuity to turn thousands of rows of data into simple, powerful stories and meaningful insights that can be easily understood by Nike’s product creation community. This expertise will be leveraged to inform the evolution of Nike’s athlete performance insights platforms, allowing product creators to design distinct and data driven innovations. The candidate will need to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, quickly deliver business value and help craft the future of performance insights visualization at Nike.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
You will design and develop insights content and advanced visualizations to support our athlete performance platform. You will partner daily with NXT researchers and product innovators to visually interpret and translate complex athlete and product research into consumable formats for Nike’s 2000+ product creators. Using creative data visualization and advanced graphic skills, you will design solutions that accurately and visually represent various performance data (e.g., sports research, body/foot morphology, materials science). Across both footwear and apparel, you will concept, ideate and iterate on how performance data should be best communicated for product creation. Leveraging athlete insights, you will support the execution of product simulation and visualize fit opportunities using advanced information design. Working in a highly collaborative and creative environment, you will prototype and explore innovative ways to communicate and quantify product performance. You will support digital enablement with our product creation partners by evangelizing advanced digital design tools and capabilities. You will use visual analysis tools to rapidly generate impactful, interactive visualizations that fuel product innovation.
