 Description

 

As a member of the Data Management Services (DMS) team, responsible for designing, coding, unit testing and implementing high quality data pipelines for CHPW’s Enterprise Data Warehouse and other data repositories on Snowflake and SQL Server.

Essential Functions
•Applies approved application development practices for the analysis, design, prototyping, development and unit testing of CHPW data pipelines ingesting data and metadata into Enterprise Data Warehouse and other data repositories.
•Manages the data extract processes from the data warehouse environments to meet any regulatory requirements and business needs.
•Develops and tunes existing data pipelines to ensure optimal performance.
•Follows defined processes, leads and/or participates in project planning, design, code, development, and post-production reviews and discussions.
•Works closely with QA team and other team members on unit and integration testing of application programs, identifies errors in program logic and verifies functionality and compliance with user specifications.
•Works with project managers to prepare estimates on design and development efforts.
•Leads and/or participates in design and code reviews.
•Documents development work for participated projects and tasks, such as design, coding, test, processes, and instructions. Keeps the documentation up to date.
•Communicates project status, design and other related issues to the appropriate management.

Experience
1) 2 – 5 years Snowflake development experience (it must be development experience on Snowflake, not use experiences on Snowflake)
2) SSIS development experience
3) Full data warehouse development experience

Education
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or an equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience required
