The Quality Control Technician at Gunze Plastics & Engineering Corporation is responsible for the evaluation of quality control samples through various testing measures, control of documents, and maintaining good communication from Production Staff to Management. Quality Assurance experience in a production / manufacturing role is required for this position and no candidate will be considered without such experience.
This shift for this position is: Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receiving Inspection – Write material type and receiving date, check bag issue include foreign material on bag. Count supplied bag and check lot number. This accounts for large portion of the position.
- Monitor NDC data.
- Label inspections.
- Supply check (counting supplied bags and check lot numbers).
- Gain proficiency on all testing areas.
- Documentation of testing results.
- Maintain SOP criteria for inspection/testing.
- Inspect Finished Goods (FG) daily. Package Checks including (Banding, pallet and side board, etc.).
- Work well in a high volume fast paced at times environment.
- COA
- Process Inspection: Check shrinkage, haze and thickness. Daily inspections to include: Impact, haze, gloss, natural shrinkage, shrink stress and strength also tensile strength and elongation.
- Understand and exercise all safety requirements and procedures.
- Accomplish department goals.
- Support all company policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Gunze Plastics & Engineering is a climate controlled facility however parts of the building such as loading docks are very hot or very cold. There is dust and some odor due to the manufacturing process.
Education and Experience
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- 1-5 years production / manufacturing experience in Quality.
- Plastic film experience a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull product as well as stand for extended periods of time.
- Work in various temperature settings.
- Possess the ability to manage many tasks in an organized fashion.
- Possess intermediate computer skills, preferably with experience in Microsoft word to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs.
- Listen to, and follow, written and verbal instructions in English.
- Able to adapt and to learn new procedures.
- Must maintain a professional workplace attitude.
- Self-motivated, highly responsible and possess a good teamwork spirit.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
