Job Title: Junior Java Production Support Engineer Overview Responsibilities Monitor production systems and application logs to identify, triage, and resolve incidents in a timely manner. Provide on-call support as part of an on-call rotation, including after-hours and weekend coverage as needed. Diagnose root causes of issues in Java-based services and coordinate with development teams to implement fixes. Perform data validation, regression testing, and impact analysis for production deployments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (SRE, Infra, QA, Business Analysts) to ensure high availability and performance. Maintain and update runbooks, support documentation, and standard operating procedures. Assist with change management activities, including deployment validation, rollback planning, and change tickets. Troubleshoot performance issues (e.g., memory leaks, thread contention, slow queries) and propose optimization actions. Create and maintain monitoring dashboards and alerting rules to improve proactive issue detection. Ensure security and compliance considerations are followed in production environments. Escalate and communicate status and resolution details clearly to stakeholders and customers.
