Internal Medicine - Academic (SA196966) Internal Medicine Gainesville, Florida This Regional Medical Center, located in Gainesville, Florida, in conjunction with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine (UCF COM), is seeking internal medicine teaching faculty applicants. The UCF COM/HCA GME Consortium Internal Medicine residency program is accredited for 60 residents and seeks teaching faculty to practice in an outpatient clinic or in a hybrid outpatient / inpatient model supervising and teaching residents. Teaching physicians will receive faculty appointments and collaborate with other UCF COM faculty. The main UCF COM campus offers state-of-the-art medical education and research facilities and is located in Lake Nona Medical City, near Orlando. Our mission is to educate and train exceptional physicians in the academic discipline of medicine in a collegial environment that imparts knowledge and skills in the areas of patient care, research, community service and leadership. Faculty will actively participate in clinical supervision and teaching of residents and medical students, didactic presentations, learner evaluations and mentoring, and clinical research. Opportunities are also available for qualified applicants in program leadership positions such as core faculty or associate program director. Candidates for teaching faculty must be board certified in the field of internal medicine. Applicants with experience as academic teaching faculty or prior chief residency duties are encouraged to apply.
